My name is Eszter Petró, and I was still a child when I decided that I would have become an ethologist and work with dogs. I’m a truly lucky person, as I could grew up with my family dogs and they taught me a lot. I have a Masters degree in Biology and I’m working at the Department of Ethology at Eotvos Lorand University in Budapest. I’m doing my PhD research on dogs’ social cognitive abilities, focusing on social learning with Prof. Ádám Miklósi and Claudia Fugazza. I am very thankful to both of them for their work and support during my research. I also have a certificate in Dog training and I worked helping owners and dogs to solve behavioural problems. Nowadays I give Do as I Do seminars and Do as I Do practice courses. I am very happy that thanks to our scientific results we can use social learning in dog training, as with its help we can achieve a better and better relationship with our dogs. This is the best part of this dog training method.
